I went into school today to withdraw from my music course, although i am getting
great marks, the teachers are just careless and couldnt really give a shit about
their students so I figure im beter of dedicating my time to something more
important such as photography and drawing which are my main loves at the moment
While handing in my withdrawal form, i also handed in my application form for
Photography next year, i hope that i get in. I would love to ultimately do
something with photography and music, like journalism or even start my own
magazine, that way id be able to incorporate fashion as well.
Last week for school i had to put on a gig (choose the bands, book the venue,
book the audio engineer) and it went really well despite the first band not
having a drumkit (i had to ring around to find one to borrow the night before)
But i have been told that i should put on another one which is good news :)

a while ago a friend of mine ran an exhibition space in Sydney
called 'Space 3' they showed art and bands such as the unicorns
played shows there. Sadly this year it had to be shut down, but
before it did i was able to snap a shot of one of the back rooms

my friends band called 'The Glass Age' asked my friend to take some
promo shots for them. I snuck along and got some shots myself of the
band rehearsing and at play. By the end of the day i had drunk a
whole bottle of red wine myself while the band stayed sober..oops

hello wonderful friends, i was wondering if any of your lovely creative
people would be able to help me out. I am putting on a gig on October
20th and need to designn A4 and A5 posters for the gig, i was wondering
whether anyone would be able to help me out with designs for these
flyers/posters. You would get full credit as well as having your work
seen around Sydney, Australia. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

i just downloaded allen ginsberg poetry and Jack Kerouac's
'on the road' onto my mini pink ipod.
I am now going to bed to listen to it, one day i plan on
reading the book but for now i am reading 'American Psycho'
which is amazing me with its brilliance and gory detail
i promise a photo update within the next couple of days,
maybe tomorrow. I was supposed to go out for cocktails,
but things have a way of not happening when you look forward
to them

tonight i am seeing NIN yay!
I finished my photography course and shall start the next one soon.
I really wan't to do photography profesionaly, but i need to learn
how to develop my own photos properly, i dont know how to do colour.
I also want to be a flight attendent, my loves swap every minute
The band The Presets asked if they could use the photos I took
of them on their website which is pretty exciting, they liked them :)

I saw a great band on friday from Australia called the presets.
They are kind of electronic, but they just have the most lively
energetic fun stage presence. I took photos of the show, ive
been trying to take photos everywhere i go. OH! and on sunday
i saw interpol live, and i thankfully was NOT dissapointed :)

the other night my friend gave me a free ticket to see billy corgan
live at the enmore theatre, i had never heard his solo album, but
seeing him live was amazing and now one of my favourite live gigs
ever. I recomend if you get the chance to see him in concert

in about 3.5 hours i turn 20, its not much of a significat age, but
i think it makes people think about age and appearence a lot. They
are no longer a 'teen'. My dentist told me today when she turned
20 she looked in the mirror and swore she could see age lines...
i might wait a couple more years for that i think.
I finished my photography course, and will be starting the second
one a long with the next music management course in a couple of
weeks. On saturday i am going away to the Whitsunday Islands till
the 10th of July, i shall be taking loads of photos ofcourse :)
I am also submitting some photos for an exhibition at my photography
school, one of them you can see above. I will be away for the opening :(
